MEÜS first collection emerges from its creative director’s nahual. 
The essence of Kiej—an energy of clarity, discipline, resilience, and grounded protection of values, uniting three points of Guatemala’s geographic and cultural landscape: San Juan La Laguna, Sacatepéquez, and Guatemala City.

From San Juan La Laguna comes the woven artistry that begins the brand’s exploration at the level of raw material. In Sacatepéquez, a master woodcarver steps beyond his tradition of sculpting church saints to bring forth the collection’s central embodiment: Kiej’s standing pillars.

 

Absentia marks the beginning of the studio’s practice, a space of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and shared creation.
