THE ART DIRECTED
The umbrella for Sofía Contreras-Paredes's that gathers her independent work, MEÜS, Colectivo Cinco x Cinco, and every creative language she chooses to inhabit.
THE MESSAGE
To move away from the fashion industry’s segmentation of work into “collections,” MEÜS names them as they truly are, messages.
Each one arises from the creative director’s opinions, instincts, and emotional landscapes. If they are born as messages, why not call them as such?
ASSEMBLY
Although a “result” exists, a product, a form, its message emerges only through an assembly: cuts, stitches, thread, lines, volumes.
MEÜS invites us to view each message not as a collection, but as an assembly of elements speaking in unison.
THE PROCESS
MEÜS experiences the world through processes, sequences of encounters that culminate in something.
When you work with the studio, you are not choosing a service; you are inviting us into a phase of your process.
THE EXPAND
Traditionally known as “Press,” this space becomes for MEÜS the act of expansion.
If MEÜS sends messages, the press is the medium that expands them.
THE EXCHANGE
Collaboration stands at the core of our practice.
In any honest, horizontal exchange, knowledge is inevitably created, perspectives, talents, and interpretations intersect to shape what becomes possible.
Your project’s team is a living source of shared insight.
THE TRANSCENDENT
Within MEÜS’s educational branch, the outcome is rarely just a “thing.”
It is a process, a tool, a connection, something that shifts understanding.
The Transcendent becomes the new name for #MetamorfosisTextil, the studio’s workshop.
Since 2014, MEÜS has led more than twenty workshops, collaborating with universities, brands, and design platforms across: Guatemala, Costa Rica, London and Madrid.
